Membership is open to any institution/organization or individual interested in furthering the objectives of Dance Alliance Philippines.

Types of membership
Individual – PhP500/year
Institution – PhP2000/year

The artistic director or company manager of a member institution or organization memberships other than the core members of the Contemporary Dance Network will act as representative of their group, and are automatically individual members of WDA-Ph as well. As follows, members of these groups will need endorsement from their institutions or register to DAP separately to receive WDA benefits.

Membership Benefits

1. Individual members and the manager/artistic director of each institution will receive a digital copy of the Asia Pacific Channels biannual newsletter (institution managers and directors should distribute to all their members). All members are encouraged to send news and photos of their events for Dance Alliance Philippines to include these in the Philippines report in the newsletter.

2. First notifications for opportunities – complete information on calls for papers, workshops and laboratories, festivals and conferences, both local and those that are announced by the other WDA-Asia Pacific chapters, and if needed, help in building a good application. These will be sent through email, and will also be posted in the DAP Ph FB page.

3. Members are invited to World Dance Alliance local and regional events; please note that regional events do always require proof of membership in the local chapter. Invitations to local performances are either free or at a discount, depending on the sponsorship of the production. Participation of regional events will be at the institution’s expense, but DAP will provide recommendation letters for travel grant applications.

4. Members are in consideration for performances organised by DAP, depending on the objectives of the event’s curator.

5. Members are invited to workshops organised by DAP. These workshops may be free or will require payment, depending on the nature of the project; if there is a required fee, members will receive a discount for participation. For institutions, 4 members of each institution may participate in each workshop, unless advised by the organizers. Observation fees are waived.

6. Members are invited to local conferences, seminars, artist talks, and focus group discussions that are organized by DAP. If participatory payment is required, members are eligible for discounted rates. The same rules apply for institutions as stated in item 5.

7. Members may organise their own events in cooperation with DAP.

8. Individual members may apply to DAP and WDA Asia Pacific projects, such as choreolabs and residencies. Other artists who are members as part of an institution may do so with an endorsement from their institution. Each institution may endorse only 3 of their members to these projects, each year.
